The project proposal envisages the construction and commissioning of local energy storage facilities with a total power capacity of 120 kW, located on the premises of a production building owned by NINAGRAM Ltd. in the city of Blagoevgrad. The investment is being implemented under Priority 2 “Circular Economy”, Specific Objective RSO2.1 - “Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions”, and aims to increase the energy independence and resilience of the enterprise through the implementation of innovative energy management and storage technologies. The project includes the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of two local battery storage systems, each with a power capacity of 60 kW. The systems will be equipped with all necessary components for safety, monitoring, cooling, and electrical integration into the existing network of the facility. The implementation of the project will enable efficient storage and subsequent use of electricity, optimizing internal consumption and reducing peak load demand. This will lead to a significant reduction in energy costs, limit the negative impact of electricity price fluctuations, and contribute to higher operational stability of the enterprise. The project complies with the “Do No Significant Harm” principle regarding environmental protection and is aligned with national and European policies for energy transition, sustainable development, and the increased deployment of intelligent energy solutions in the industrial sector.
