The project proposal of “NADEZHDA-T 2017” Ltd. (UIC 204546109), operator of a nursing home in the village of Bolyarsko, Tundzha Municipality, 1 “Kokiche” Street, aims at permanently reducing electricity costs, increasing energy autonomy, and limiting the carbon footprint through the implementation of a system for production and storage of renewable energy for self-consumption. The investment envisages a photovoltaic installation with a peak capacity of 40 kW, integrated with a battery energy storage system (BESS) and energy management system (EMS), interconnected via a bidirectional inverter and smart metering. The solution is tailored to the uninterrupted nature of the service (24/7) and the daily/seasonal variability of loads (heating/cooling, DHW, lighting, kitchen, laundry, medical and IT equipment), prioritizing maximum self-consumption and safe system operation. Battery storage will provide load shifting to periods with lower tariffs, peak shaving, higher utilization of the generated energy, and short-term autonomy during grid disturbances for critical consumers (emergency lighting, communication and surveillance, server and medical equipment). The EMS will manage charge/discharge cycles, optimize inverter performance, and provide web-based monitoring of generated, stored, and consumed energy, including alarms and efficiency reports. Expected results: reduction of purchased grid electricity and related costs; increased share of renewable energy and primary energy savings; reduced greenhouse gas emissions; improved cost predictability and higher resilience of the enterprise to price and grid fluctuations. The investment is both technologically and financially justified and directly contributes to the energy efficiency and environmental sustainability of elderly care services provided by “NADEZHDA-T 2017” Ltd. in Tundzha Municipality.
