The project of Solaris Ltd., implemented in Aydemir village, Silistra Municipality, is aimed at improving the company’s energy efficiency and reducing its carbon footprint through the implementation of modern technologies for sustainable energy resource management in its production facility. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to construct a 40 kW photovoltaic power plant (PV system) for self-consumption, install thermal insulation systems on the external walls of the production building, and introduce a 50 kW biomass boiler for heating the premises. These measures will lead to reduced heat losses, optimized energy consumption, and increased energy independence of the company. The main objective of the project is to enhance energy efficiency and increase the share of renewable energy used in the company’s operations, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving the enterprise’s overall sustainability. The expected results include lower energy costs, enhanced competitiveness, and a direct contribution to the achievement of national and European goals for energy efficiency and decarbonization. The implementation of the project is fully aligned with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy in Enterprises” and will have a long-term positive impact on the sustainable development and energy transition of Solaris Ltd.
