The project proposal of BUNAI AD under the procedure is aimed at implementing measures to increase the energy efficiency and sustainability of the production processes in the company. BUNAI AD is a manufacturing company with a long tradition, whose main activity is the production of plastic products, thermosetting materials and rubber. Energy-intensive machines and equipment are used in the work process, which necessitates the modernization of energy systems in order to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs. The investment provides for the supply and installation of a highly efficient air-to-water heat pump with a capacity of 189 kW, which will provide heating and cooling of the production and administrative premises by using renewable energy from the air. The measure will lead to a significant reduction in the consumption of electricity and natural gas from conventional sources. It is also planned to install one adsorption dryer for compressed air, which will improve humidity control and the efficiency of production processes, as well as implement a centralized compressed air management system, which will optimize air consumption and pressure, reducing energy losses and increasing equipment reliability. In addition, the project includes the replacement of 68.3 m² of old PVC joinery in the administrative building, which will improve the thermal performance of the building envelope, reduce heat losses and contribute to a higher comfort of the working environment. The implementation of the project will allow BUNAI AD to achieve a significant reduction in energy costs, limit carbon emissions and increase the competitiveness of the enterprise by implementing innovative and sustainable energy solutions in accordance with the objectives of the European Green Deal and the national energy efficiency policy.
