METMA EAD is mainly engaged in the production of egg paint. The company also develops additional economic activity related to mechanical processing of metal, producing construction and furniture fittings. The main energy consumption of the company in the implementation of the additional economic activity is related to the use of outdated technical cooling equipment (air conditioners and fans), which is characterized by serious weaknesses in terms of energy efficiency, sustainability and economy. In order to meet the above challenges and to be able to improve the energy efficiency of its additional economic activity, the company is applying under procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 "Energy efficiency and use of energy from renewable sources in enterprises". The project proposal envisages the acquisition of 3 pcs. chillers (water-cooled condenser unit) with a capacity of 81 kW, according to the List of eligible asset categories. The implementation of the planned investment will lead to optimization of energy consumption for cooling, reduction of electricity costs and carbon emissions, as well as ensuring a more stable microclimate, higher comfort and better working conditions in the company's premises.
