Programme: Programme "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" 2021-2027

Planning region: All

Description

The project of "STROITELNI IZDELIYA" AD, headquartered in the village of Khan Krum, Shumen region, is aimed at increasing energy efficiency and the use of energy from renewable sources in the production activities of the enterprise. The company has many years of experience in the production of concrete mixtures (main economic activity code 23.61 - Production of concrete products for construction) and strives for sustainable and competitive development by reducing its energy intensity.
The project envisages the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) with an installed capacity of 70 kW for its own consumption, in combination with local energy storage facilities (batteries). The investment will provide an opportunity for the production of clean electricity from solar energy, its storage and subsequent use during peak consumption periods, which will reduce dependence on external suppliers and fluctuations in electricity prices.
The implementation of the project will lead to:
• reduction of the enterprise's electricity costs;
• increasing energy efficiency and sustainability of the production process;
• reducing greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint;
• improving the competitiveness of the company and its contribution to the ecological transition.
The project is fully consistent with the objectives of the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Programme 2021–2027, priority 2 “Circular Economy”, specific objective RSO2.1 – “Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions”.
