VSG-Trans LTD is a completely family-owned company with a large and diverse fleet of vehicles with experienced professional drivers and experienced mechanics. The company operates under the category of 49.41 Freight Road Transport, which also includes various transport services, forwarding activities, logistics, domestic and international freight transport. Installing a compressed air system with an inverter-controlled compressor, dryer and air tanks is of key importance for the efficient and economical operation of a truck transport company, especially if it has its own car service or repair facility. Compressed air is one of the largest energy consumers in such industries – it reaches 25–30% of the total electricity consumption. Existing compressor systems often suffer from high losses when idling, unstable pressure, lack of centralized control and insufficiently effective drying. This leads to increased electricity bills, the risk of technological defects and lower productivity. The project proposal envisages an investment in 2 inverter-controlled compressed air compressors (22 kW) and dryers, as well as the implementation of a centralized control system for the compressor station. The new system will allow for adaptation of the work according to the actual load, optimal load distribution between the compressors and constant energy monitoring. Expected effects: Energy: reduction of electricity consumption of the compressor system by 20–35%. Economic: annual savings in thousands of leva, lower maintenance and scrap costs. Environmental: reduction of the carbon footprint by tens of tons of CO₂ per year. Social: better working conditions and higher quality of production. The investment is sustainable in financial, technical and environmental terms - reducing energy intensity, improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions and increasing the competitiveness of enterprises.
