Mira EOOD is a leading Bulgarian manufacturer of paper products, packaging, and consumables, with an established position on the domestic and foreign markets. Production is energy-intensive and requires constant maintenance of optimal temperature and humidity conditions in the production facilities, which are critical for the quality and uniform structure of the paper and end products. At the same time, the processing and drying processes generate waste from cellulose materials and residual biogenic raw materials, which can be effectively utilized as biofuel. This project proposal envisages the implementation of energy-efficient systems and equipment to optimize energy consumption, as well as biomass boilers using production waste as a source of thermal energy. The project investments are aimed at optimizing energy consumption, reducing carbon emissions, and making optimal use of available raw material flows. The implementation of the project will achieve the following: - effective use of production waste materials as a renewable energy resource; - reduction of dependence on fossil fuels and external energy suppliers; - optimization of the heat balance in the production premises, which will guarantee the quality of production and prevent technological losses; - improvement of energy efficiency through integrated management of energy consumption and production. The project envisages an investment of BGN 105 692.55 for a period of 12 months. Its implementation will make a long-term contribution both to the sustainable development of the enterprise and to the achievement of national energy efficiency and industry decarbonization targets.
