Description

“KRASIMIR MANOLOV – MAK” is a sole proprietorship specialized in the production of solid wood, upholstered, case, and tubular furniture. According to NACE Rev. 2, the company’s main economic activity falls under code 31.09 – “Manufacture of other furniture.” The enterprise operates a production facility located in Ruse, Bulgaria.

In the context of a dynamic energy market and continuously rising electricity prices, a major challenge for the company is the need to reduce the energy intensity of its production processes in order to lower operational costs, limit the carbon footprint of its activities, and create opportunities for sustainable growth and enhanced competitiveness.

To increase energy efficiency, reduce energy costs, and ensure the sustainable management of the production process, the project foresees the implementation of a measure involving the procurement and commissioning of 10 high-efficiency air-to-air heat pumps with a total heating capacity of 180 kW, intended for the establishment of an energy-efficient heating and cooling system in one of the company’s production facilities – the “Standard Serial Production Workshop for Case Furniture.”

The implementation of this measure will ensure a stable production microclimate, reduce specific electricity consumption, limit the company’s carbon footprint, and contribute to the optimization of operational costs, while simultaneously enhancing the sustainability and competitiveness of the company’s business model. The investment is expected to have a long-term positive impact on the economic, environmental, and technological performance of the enterprise.

The project is fully aligned with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004, which aim to accelerate the transition towards climate neutrality and support enterprises in the decarbonisation process through the implementation of energy efficiency measures in their business operations.
