The project proposal of NELTECH 18 Ltd. envisages the implementation of an investment aimed at improving energy efficiency and increasing the use of renewable energy sources in a commercial site located in the town of Targovishte – a less developed region in Northeastern Bulgaria. The site is a building owned by the applicant, which accommodates a computer and peripherals store, as well as the provision of various IT services. The company’s operations are energy-intensive, resulting in high electricity costs and an increased environmental impact. To achieve higher energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption, two main investment measures are planned: Replacement of transparent building elements (windows and doors) with new, energy-efficient units featuring triple glazing and PVC frames, ensuring a heat transfer coefficient of U ≤ 1.1 W/m²K for a total area of approximately 50 m²; Construction of a photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of 20 kW, including solar panels, inverters, a 40 kWh battery system, and all necessary components, intended entirely for the site’s self-consumption. The implementation of the project will enable the company to reduce its dependence on external energy sources, optimize operating costs, and achieve a better energy balance. The planned measures will lead to a reduction in electricity consumption from the grid, a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions, and an overall improvement of the enterprise’s environmental footprint. The project is fully consistent with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy in Enterprises”, supporting businesses in their transition towards climate neutrality, reducing carbon emissions, achieving sustainable growth, and enhancing competitiveness through the introduction of green technologies and energy-efficient solutions.
