The project proposal is aimed at improving the energy efficiency of “Bar Petak” through the installation and commissioning of photovoltaic panels combined with an inverter with a capacity of 50 kW, as well as local energy storage systems (batteries) combined with an inverter with a capacity of 90 kW. The project also includes the purchase of two heat pumps of 27 kW each for heating and cooling the establishment. “Bar Petak” is an emblematic venue located in the center of Sofia, hosting parties, acoustic concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, literary readings, bazaars, and other cultural events. The electricity generated by the photovoltaic power plant under the project will be used exclusively for self-consumption related to the company’s main economic activity – NACE 56.30 “Beverage serving activities.” In the context of rising electricity prices and instability in energy markets, reducing energy costs has become a key factor for the long-term sustainability of Bar Petak. Through the implementation of the project, the company will enhance its energy efficiency in several directions: - Significant reduction of current operating costs, by replacing purchased electricity with renewable energy produced on-site; - Increased energy autonomy and reduced dependence on external suppliers; - Improved working conditions and customer experience, through a better indoor microclimate in the venue. The target group of the project is Bar Petak, a small enterprise that aims to modernize and optimize its energy efficiency, reduce its energy load, and achieve greater resilience of energy-related costs. The project activities will be implemented within the territory of Sofia, in compliance with the horizontal principles under Article 9 of Regulation (EU) No. 2021/1060, including adherence to the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle to ensure no significant negative impact on the environment.
