The project of "GORAINVEST" AD envisages the implementation of targeted measures to increase energy efficiency in an existing building at the production site in the town of Kubrat, where the main activity under KID 16.21 - "Manufacture of veneer and wood-based panels" is carried out. As an established manufacturer of core panels, furniture parts and pencil blanks, the company aims to increase the sustainability and competitiveness of its production processes by reducing energy consumption and switching to an energy-efficient infrastructure. The project plans to replace the existing windows in the Kubrat factory building with new ones with better thermal insulation characteristics. The measure is included in the list of eligible costs under the procedure and will contribute to limiting heat losses, reducing energy costs for heating and cooling, as well as improving the microclimate in the work premises. The investment is fully compliant with the principle of "doing no significant harm" (DNSH) on the environment and will help achieve climate sustainability of the enterprise. The selected solutions are compatible with modern environmental standards and will contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of the activity. The expected results of the project implementation include a significant reduction in energy consumption for building comfort, optimization of operating costs, increasing energy efficiency and competitiveness of the enterprise as a whole. In addition, the project will contribute to achieving national and European goals in the field of decarbonization and green transformation, as well as a sustainable transition to a low-carbon economy. The proposal is fully compliant with the horizontal principles pursuant to Art. 9 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060, as well as with the DNSH principle.
