INTERCOMPLEX Ltd. is a small enterprise with main economic activity under NACE Code 42.22 – “Construction of utility projects for electricity and telecommunications”, operating within the South-Central Region (SCR) of Bulgaria. The company owns an administrative and production building in Plovdiv, including production, storage, and office areas with different functions. Currently, the building is heated by a diesel boiler (380 kW) – a system with high energy consumption, significant operating costs, and a considerable carbon footprint. To improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and ensure a sustainable energy system, the project foresees an integrated investment in modern energy technologies, including: Replacement of the existing heating installation with high-efficiency VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) systems for heating and cooling, providing optimal indoor climate control and precise management of energy consumption according to real load. Planned systems: • System 1 – 39.2 kW (cooling/heating) – Production area, Floor 2 • System 2 – 39.2 kW – Production area, Floor 2 • System 3 – 44.8 kW – Production area, Floor 1 • System 4 – 56.0 kW – Administrative area Construction of a photovoltaic (PV) system with inverters (33 kW) for self-consumption, supplying part of the electricity for the VRV systems and other equipment, thereby lowering costs and reducing dependence on external energy suppliers. Expected results: • Improved energy efficiency and reduced consumption of non-renewable energy; • Lower carbon footprint through eliminating diesel use and shifting to low-emission electricity; • Optimized energy costs and strengthened financial sustainability; • Enhanced competitiveness and sustainable development of INTERCOMPLEX Ltd. through the application of advanced technologies for climate control, energy management, and on-site generation of clean renewable energy.
