Description

The project “Construction of a photovoltaic power plant for own consumption and energy storage at GERGINOV & CO. LTD.” aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce the company's carbon footprint by using energy from a renewable source – solar energy.

GERGINOV AND CO. LTD. operates in the field of manufacturing metal structures and parts of structures (NACE 25.11). The manufacturing process is energy-intensive and involves high electricity consumption. With the implementation of this project, the company will build a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) with an installed capacity of up to 56 kWp, combined with a local energy storage facility (battery), intended entirely for its own consumption.

The investment will ensure partial independence from external energy suppliers, reduce electricity costs, and contribute to lower greenhouse gas emissions. The project is fully in line with the objectives of the procedure for promoting energy efficiency and the use of renewable sources in enterprises.

The expected results include:

- Reduction of energy consumption from the grid;
- Optimisation of production costs;
- Increasing the share of green energy used;
- Improving the competitiveness and sustainability of the enterprise;
- Contributing to national and European climate neutrality goals.

The project will be implemented in the city of Haskovo, within the company's production base, and will be carried out in compliance with all environmental and regulatory requirements.
