Programme: Programme "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" 2021-2027

Planning region: All

Description

The project proposal envisages activities aimed at improving the energy efficiency and promoting the use of renewable energy sources within the enterprise, through the construction of a photovoltaic installation for self-consumption — photovoltaic panels combined with inverters, with a total capacity of 190 kW, to be installed on the roof of a building owned by “PODEMGROUP ENGINEERING” Ltd. in Gabrovo.
A contract will be concluded with an external contractor in accordance with Chapter 4 of Management of Funds from the European Shared Management Instruments Act and the Manual for Beneficiaries for the Implementation of Grant Agreements. The planned investment will include photovoltaic panels and inverters that meet the minimum technical and functional requirements specified in the List of Eligible Categories of Assets in the Field of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources. The construction, installation, and commissioning of the photovoltaic system will be performed by a qualified external contractor in accordance with Chapter 4 of the Management of Funds from the European Shared Management Instruments Act (MFESIFA) and the relevant Guidelines for Beneficiaries, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and sound financial management.
By implementing the project, the company will generate renewable electricity for its own needs, reduce energy consumption from the grid, and decrease production costs. The use of clean, renewable energy will lead to lower greenhouse gas emissions, reduced carbon footprint, and improved energy independence. This will strengthen the company’s competitiveness and contribute to the transition towards a climate-neutral and sustainable economy.
The project will be implemented in line with the horizontal principles set out in Article 9 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060, including the “Do No Significant Harm” principle, and will comply with the applicable EU information and communication requirements under Annex IX of the same Regulation.
