"DI CO" Ltd. is a trading company in the retail market of hardware, auto supplies, paints and construction chemicals and has a constant electricity load related to lighting, heating, air conditioning and operation of electrical appliances and warehouse equipment. Due to high electricity prices, the company built a photovoltaic system that covers part of the consumption, but due to lack of storage capacity, part of the produced energy is not used optimally. The current project envisages activities aimed at improving energy efficiency and using energy from renewable sources by purchasing local energy storage facilities (batteries) in combination with an inverter. The new system will allow the accumulation of produced but currently unused electricity for use during peak hours. This will ensure a better energy balance, lower costs and increased energy independence. The main goal is to increase energy efficiency and achieve higher energy independence by implementing modern energy storage technologies, which will increase the share of energy used from renewable sources and reduce the carbon footprint. The company and our employees will benefit from a more sustainable and secure energy infrastructure, and our customers will be guaranteed continuous and quality service. The expected results of the project are improving energy efficiency and increasing the use of energy from renewable sources for the business's own needs. The implementation of the investment will allow for a reduction in electricity consumption from the external grid, an increase in the usability of the photovoltaic system, a reduction in carbon emissions by over 5 tons per year and a decrease in operating costs. The above will contribute both to increasing the competitiveness and reducing the energy intensity of "DI I CO" Ltd., as well as to the general improvement of energy efficiency in the economy.
