With this project proposal, FIBELA Ltd applies to receive financial support for energy-efficient equipment and the use of energy from renewable sources, which will help the enterprise improve its competitiveness, as well as to continue with its investment intentions in modernization and renovation of the offered tourist service. The implementation of the project will contribute to increasing the energy autonomy, competitiveness and reducing the energy intensity of the candidate enterprise. The significant increase in the price of electricity and energy carriers observed in recent years disrupts the functioning of all economic activities, and in the tourism sector, the impact of price increases is decisive for competitiveness. The implementation of specific measures in the field of energy transition is important not only from the perspective of preventing climate change, but also to reduce the vulnerability of the economy to fluctuations in fossil fuel prices. Tourism businesses are facing the prospect of higher energy bills at a time when this is impacting their recovery and growth after the pandemic. The expected results for FIBELA Ltd from the support under the procedure are expressed in improving energy efficiency through the use of energy from renewable sources for its own needs, with construction using the photovoltaic power plant procedure and effective use of photovoltaic panels for accumulation and subsequent storage of energy in local facilities for storing the produced energy, as well as energy-efficient heat pumps for heat transfer in the premises of the complex. Significant economic and energy benefits for the company will be the use of batteries as facilities to be used to temporarily guarantee energy supply during power outages and smoothly turn off and on the equipment, eliminating the risks of electrical accidents.
