Description

"INTEX" Ltd. is a company specialized in the production of doors — interior, entrance, fire-resistant, acoustic, and armored. The company’s activities are carried out at its own manufacturing facility located in the village of Glavinitsa, Pazardzhik Municipality.

As a manufacturing enterprise where the energy component represents a substantial factor in the formation of the final product cost, "INTEX" Ltd. faces challenges related to high energy intensity, uncertainty of energy supply, and the volatility of electricity prices.

To address these challenges and in line with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy Efficiency and Use of Energy from Renewable Sources in Enterprises,” the project foresees the implementation of an investment under item 15 of the List of Eligible Assets, namely:
    • Delivery and commissioning of a Local Energy Storage Facility (battery) in combination with an inverter, with a capacity of 160 kWh, to an existing photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 70 KW, satisfying the company's own needs.

The implementation of the project will lead to a reduction in dependence on external electricity suppliers and the maximum utilization of the energy produced by the enterprise. In this way, the project will ensure a sustainable reduction of operating costs, optimization of production processes, enhancement of energy efficiency, and a lasting increase in the company’s competitiveness on its target markets.

The total value of the investment amounts to 206 212,80 BGN, and the project implementation period is 12 months.
