Description

TRANSELSTROY EOOD is a medium-sized enterprise specialized in the construction of high-voltage electrical installations and the electrification of railway infrastructure, including overhead contact systems, power transmission lines, substations, and energy facility control systems.

In the village of PĂRVOMAITSI, Municipality of GORNA ORYAHOVITSA, the company operates a production hall for the manufacture of reinforcing elements and metal components, as well as accommodation facilities for workers, ensuring conditions for a continuous production process. The company also plans to commence production of metal poles for railway and energy infrastructure.

Currently, the site has a maximum available electrical capacity of only 6 kW, which is insufficient for the normal operation of equipment and auxiliary systems. To compensate for this, a diesel generator is used, providing a partial power supply. However, this solution is energy-intensive, noisy, and environmentally unfriendly, hindering production expansion and increasing product costs.

The project involves the construction of a 55 kW photovoltaic power plant (PVPP), combined with a battery energy storage system in accordance with item 16 of Annex 4.1 to the Application Guidelines with a capacity equal to or greater than the output power of the inverters. The system will be installed on the roof structure of the production hall and will supply green electricity for technological processes, equipment, maintaining the microclimate, lighting, and staff accommodation facilities.

The investment will ensure a stable and sufficient power supply, eliminate dependence on the diesel generator, reduce energy costs by 35–40%, cover approximately 70% of total consumption (75,000 kWh annually), and reduce carbon emissions by over 55 tonnes of CO₂ per year, thereby contributing to sustainable and eco-friendly production.
