The project proposal of MELBON JSC aims to improve the company’s energy efficiency and enhance the sustainability of its production operations through the implementation of high-efficiency heating and cooling systems. Established in 1999, MELBON is a leading Bulgarian manufacturer of chocolate and confectionery products, well known both domestically and internationally, with exports to Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia. The company’s production facilities are located in the industrial zone of Pernik, where the main manufacturing processes are carried out using advanced European technologies. The project includes the installation of 17 air-to-air heat pumps, each with a capacity of 24 kW, as well as one chiller unit with an air-cooled condenser and a capacity of 47.3 kW. The systems will be deployed in production and service areas that currently lack such installations. The new equipment will provide sustainable, energy-efficient heating and cooling, reducing overall energy consumption and improving the working environment. The implementation of the project will result in lower energy use, improved indoor conditions, reduced operating costs, and a smaller carbon footprint. This investment will strengthen the long-term competitiveness and environmental responsibility of MELBON JSC in both domestic and international markets.
