Description

Best Hotels Ltd. manages the Best Boutique Hotel, a boutique city hotel in Stara Zagora, which mission is to ensure a high level of comfort and satisfaction for its guests while simultaneously minimizing its operational costs and ecological footprint. The current project aims to replace the outdated and inefficient Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system with high-efficiency heat pump and cooling technology. The equipment on floors 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of the hotel will be replaced, as well as the cooling system in the hotel's restaurant.
Heating is provided by natural gas, but cooling is currently achieved via a chiller which is not inverter-driven, is amortized, and is extremely energy-intensive. This results in high operational costs that directly reduce the hotel's profitability. The restaurant is currently cooled by standard air conditioners combined with a ventilation system, which are also highly energy-intensive.
The continued use of inefficient technology contributes to high CO2 emissions.
For this reason, this project plans for the integration of two types of key energy-efficient systems: high-efficiency water-to-air heat pump units for the hotel rooms and a new-generation air cooler (chiller) for the restaurant.
As a result of the investment, we expect a significant reduction in energy consumption, and consequently, a reduction in costs for this expense item.
The new systems will provide precise, fast, and stable temperature control in the hotel rooms, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction (key for the reputation of a boutique hotel like ours).
In the restaurant, it will be possible to achieve a pleasant temperature with minimal costs even during very hot summer days, which has a direct impact on increasing revenue.
The reduction in electricity consumption leads to a substantial lowering of the carbon footprint. This positions the hotel as "green" and ecologically responsible, which is a growing advantage in the tourism sector.
