The company ALPLA-CHERNOKOZHEV EOOD has a main economic activity code under the 2008 Business Code - 22.23 Production of joinery and other plastic products for construction, under which code the current project will be implemented. The company constructs, designs and produces PVC and aluminum joinery, partition walls, roof structures, winter gardens, glazing units, etc. It has its own workshop for the production of joinery in the city of Vratsa. The production process is characterized by high energy intensity, respectively, the cost of electricity is one of the main components in the formation of the cost price of the products. The company relies on electricity as the only source of energy supply for its production facilities - machinery and equipment, and does not have other energy sources. This puts the company in an unfavorable situation in view of the constantly increasing and unpredictable prices of electricity, not only in relation to other economic entities that have the opportunity for diversification, but also in relation to enterprises that are characterized by lower energy intensity for the implementation of their activities. The project proposal is aimed at obtaining grant aid from the applicant for investment in long-term tangible assets, representing facilities for the production of renewable energy (RE) for own consumption from the sun in the form of a system of photovoltaic panels connected to inverters (photovoltaic systems) in combination with local facilities for the storage of electrical energy (batteries). The implementation of the investment will lead to improved competitiveness of the enterprise and reduced energy dependence on conventional sources, greater flexibility and efficiency of production processes, and reduced production costs, while the investment will be in accordance with the principle of "doing no significant harm" and will contribute to the ecological transition of the country.
