The project proposal is aimed at improving the energy efficiency of “Septemvri 204” Ltd., through the installation and commissioning of photovoltaic panels combined with an inverter with a capacity of 38 kW, local energy storage facilities (batteries) combined with an inverter with a capacity of 95 kW, and 15 m² of vacuum-tube solar collectors for the production of hot water. The project also includes the purchase of a new air-cooled chiller with a capacity of 14 kW. “Septemvri 204” provides hotel and restaurant services in a mountain environment through the management of “Septemvri” Chalet located in Vitosha Nature Park. The electricity generated by the photovoltaic system under the project will be used exclusively for the company’s own consumption in its main economic activity – 55.90 “Other accommodation services.” In the context of rising electricity prices and instability in energy markets, reducing energy costs has become a key factor for the long-term sustainability of the company. With the implementation of the project, “Septemvri 204” will improve its energy efficiency in several aspects: - Significant reduction of current operating costs, through the substitution of purchased electricity with renewable energy produced on-site; - Increased energy autonomy and reduced dependence on external suppliers; - Continuity of power supply, including during grid failures, through the use of smart inverters and battery storage systems. The target group of the project is “Septemvri 204” Ltd. – a small enterprise seeking to modernize and optimize its energy efficiency, reduce its energy load, and achieve greater resilience to energy cost fluctuations. The project activities will be implemented at the “Septemvri” Chalet in Vitosha Nature Park and will comply with the horizontal principles under Article 9 of Regulation (EU) No. 2021/1060, including the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) requirements for environmental protection.
