Neptun Ltd., owner and operator of a hotel in Vidin, plans to implement three key investments aimed at improving energy efficiency and increasing the share of renewable energy used for its own needs. The measures aim to reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions while enhancing the sustainability and competitiveness of the enterprise. 1. Photovoltaic Power Plant (32 kW) – A photovoltaic system for self-consumption will be built, including high-efficiency solar modules (efficiency ≥ 20%), inverters with a European weighted efficiency ≥ 96%, and storage batteries with a warranty of ≥ 10 years. The installation will partially cover the hotel’s electricity consumption and reduce dependence on external energy suppliers. 2. Air-to-Water Heat Pump (30 kW) – A heat pump dedicated exclusively to heating the water in the indoor swimming pool within the SPA area will be installed. The system will utilize renewable energy from the outside air, achieving high efficiency (SCOP ≥ 3.5 at A7/W35) and reducing pool heating costs by more than 50%, ensuring environmentally sustainable energy consumption. 3. Air Handling Unit with High-Efficiency Regeneration (2800 m³/h) – A new air-handling system will be installed in the SPA zone, compliant with standards BDS EN 13053:2020 and EN 14825:2019. The unit will provide 100% fresh air, heat and humidity recovery, and high energy efficiency (SCOP ≥ 3.8). It will improve indoor air quality, reduce energy losses, and enhance guest comfort. The combined effect of the three investments will result in a reduction of total energy consumption by over 30%, a decrease of CO₂ emissions by more than 20 tons annually, and an overall improvement in the hotel’s sustainability, operational efficiency, and competitiveness.
