"Balkan Center Diplomat" Ltd. is a company with its registered office and management address in the town of Lukovit, which manages two hotels in the town of Lukovit - Diplomat Plaza Hotel 4* with over 72 accommodation units and "Diplomat Park" 3* with 42 accommodation units. In 2024, the company incurred significant energy costs in the amount of 319 thousand leva, which represent 40% of all costs for raw materials and supplies. This clearly highlights the high energy intensity of the activity and determines the need to implement energy efficiency measures in hotels, which will lead to cost optimization, reduction of the carbon footprint and sustainable development of the enterprise. With the project, the company wishes to carry out the following activities: -Installation of a "water-water" heat pump 75.7kW-1pc.-a facility that will be connected to the hotel's heating and cooling installation and will transfer heat to the internal heating installation via a refrigeration cycle in the Diplomat Plaza Hotel 4*; -Installation of a "VRF-VRV direct evaporation system" heat pump 63kW-1pc.-to serve locally only the breakfast room area in the Diplomat Plaza Hotel 4*. -Energy-efficient air coolers-4kW-7pcs.,4.5kW-7pcs. and 6kW-2pcs.-to provide fresh and filtered air in the premises of the Diplomat Park Hotel 3*; -Energy-efficient air coolers-7kW-1pc.-necessary for independent and autonomous air conditioning to achieve comfort in the children's entertainment area in the Diplomat Plaza Hotel 4*; -Energy-efficient air coolers-17 kW-2pc.-necessary as a local installation to ensure a comfortable environment in the staff training and exercise room in the Diplomat Plaza Hotel 4* and in the breakfast room of the Diplomat Park Hotel 3*; -Energy-efficient insulation systems-will be installed on a terrace in the building of the Diplomat Plaza Hotel 4*-Transparent enclosing structure 52m2-to avoid extremely cold or warm temperatures in the recreational activities area.
