Dunav Press AD is a leading enterprise in the printing sector, headquartered in the city of Ruse and main activity under code 17.21 "Production of corrugated cardboard and packaging from paper and cardboard". The company specializes in the production of cardboard and paper packaging, offset printing and comprehensive finishing services for customers in the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industries. In view of the specifics of the production processes, which require constant control of temperature, humidity and air purity, Dunav Press plans to implement a project for forced ventilation by installing a climate chamber with a nominal flow rate of 9,500 m³/h. It will serve a production room with a cubic capacity of 10,000 m³, thus ensuring almost complete air exchange within an hour. The new chamber will replace the removed roof fans, which have been dismantled to allow the construction of a photovoltaic plant on the roof, a step towards making the plant "green" and energy efficient. The main benefits of the project include: • Providing fresh air and a stable microclimate in the production halls; • improving the working conditions of staff and creating a healthy environment; • Increasing the quality and stability of the printing process through optimal control over paper, inks and machines; • reduction of production waste and technological defects; energy efficiency through the use of modern fans and air flow control. The implementation of the project will lead to annual energy savings of about 20-25 MWh, reduction of carbon emissions by 8-10 tons of CO₂, as well as better competitiveness of the company. The combination of the new ventilation system with the already implemented photovoltaic plant will ensure sustainable development and support the transition to a green economy, in line with national and European climate neutrality goals.
