"Slavex" Ltd. is a medium-sized enterprise with an eligible activity code under NACE 47.11 – Retail sale in non-specialised stores with food, beverages, or tobacco. The applicant needs to improve its energy efficiency and reduce energy costs through investments in modern, energy-efficient equipment for its own use. Part of the Applicant’s operating expenses are due to excessive electricity consumption, the prices of which remain unstable and difficult to predict. The Applicant faces challenges related to its energy efficiency and the resulting high electricity supply costs. Therefore, the project proposal "Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Slavex Ltd." aims to reduce the Applicant’s dependence on external energy sources by implementing local energy storage facilities (batteries) combined with inverters at two of the Company’s commercial sites located in Yambol. These sites will be connected to existing photovoltaic installations for own needs, namely: Site 1: A building located in Yambol, 42-A Graf Ignatiev Street, which represents the Company’s main store and its adjacent warehouse facility; and Site 2: A building located in Yambol, 51 Druzhba Street, which represents another owned retail site in the “Zlaten Rog”(a residential complex). The implementation of envisaged activities in the project proposal will contribute not only to achieving the company’s individual objectives—such as reducing costs, improving energy security and resilience—but also to the achievement of national and European climate and energy goals. In this way, the company’s capacity for transition to a low-carbon economy will be enhanced, ensuring a stronger market position in the long term.
