The project of "Podemkran" AD - Gabrovo is aimed at increasing energy efficiency in the production base of "Podemkran" AD. The company carries out its main activity under code C28.22 "Manufacture of lifting and handling machinery" under the NKID 2008 and is among the leading manufacturers of crane components and complex solutions for the lifting industry in the region, offering a full package of services - design, delivery, installation and service of industrial cranes and hoists. The production base covers approximately 30,000 m² and is equipped with modern machines and a laboratory. A depreciated water tower, put into operation more than 55 years ago with high water consumption, is used for technological cooling. The project envisages its decommissioning and replacement with a chiller with a cooling capacity of 36.9 kW, which removes heat directly, eliminates evaporation losses and the need for water treatment, reduces operating costs and increases the operational reliability of cooling. At the same time, the shell of one of the buildings in the base of "Podemkran AD" "Administrative Building B" is morally and physically outdated, which leads to significant heat losses. The project provides for the implementation of thermal insulation of facade sections of the building, as well as the replacement of the existing joinery with new PVC and aluminum window systems with high energy efficiency (a total of approximately 276 m², of which about 247 m² PVC with a frame and 29 m² PVC aluminum with an interrupted tolin bridge). The investment is in full compliance with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 "Energy efficiency and renewable energy", contributing to reducing energy intensity, sustainable production and higher competitiveness of "Podemkran" AD.
