The present project proposal of "Razgrad - Polygraf" Ltd. is related to the construction of a photovoltaic power plant for own consumption, equipped with a local energy storage system (ESS), aimed at promoting the transition of the private sector towards environmentally friendly activities. The company specializes in printing full-color newspapers, as well as in the design and production of various paper and cardboard products. The production process is characterized by high energy consumption, and for this reason, we plan to build a photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 56.64 kWp (output power 50 kW) to partially cover the electricity needs of the production process. The installation will be implemented on the roof of one of the company’s buildings (owned by the enterprise), where the company carries out its activities. The construction of a photovoltaic system is a timely solution that is quick and easy to implement in accordance with the current regulatory framework in the country. The presence of its own renewable energy source will increase the enterprise’s security and the reliability of its production process in case of failures and unplanned power outages. It will also allow the company to optimize its consumption by purchasing less expensive energy from the unregulated market. The investment under the project will have a direct impact on the cost price of the company’s production, which will be reduced as a result of lower electricity expenses. Production costs per unit of product will be optimized/reduced, thereby lowering the production cost of "Razgrad - Polygraf" Ltd., enabling the company to offer competitive prices for its products. The successful implementation of the project for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant for own consumption with a local energy storage system will lead to an overall increase in the productivity, market potential, and competitiveness of the organization.
