"Popchev Stone Design" Ltd. is a Bulgarian company headquartered in the village of Slanchevo, Aksakovo Municipality. Its main activity is the production of natural stone materials in a wide variety—marble, granite, limestone, onyx, mosaics, and various stone products sourced from Italy, Greece, and China. In parallel, the company offers its clients the full range of materials extracted in Bulgaria—Bulgarian marble, Vratsa limestone, and gneiss. The company’s main economic activity falls under NACE code 23.70 – Cutting, shaping and finishing of stone. In this project proposal, the company declares its intention to improve the energy efficiency of the enterprise by implementing measures listed in Annex 4.1 for its main production facility, located in the town of Vratsa. The project aligns with the company's development strategy and aims to optimize operations by enhancing energy efficiency, which will also contribute to improved competitiveness. As part of the project, the following measures will be implemented to achieve the set project goals: - Energy-efficient insulation systems in buildings: Transparent enclosing structures (windows and doors) with aluminum frames with a thermal break, and thermal insulation systems made of sandwich panels for external walls. The assets to be purchased as part of the project are next-generation, with features and functionalities that meet the requirements and conditions for energy efficiency. The investments are part of the list of eligible assets described in Annex 4.1 of the terms of this procedure. Their integration into the company’s operations will contribute to increased competitiveness and the development of our potential for sustainable growth. Sustainable development is also a key objective for us. The planned project activities are in line with the “do no significant harm” (DNSH) principle.
