The project proposal of EKOR Ltd. aims to construct a 195 kWp photovoltaic system within the company’s site in Stara Zagora. The investment will provide a sustainable and environmentally responsible source of electricity to cover the needs of technological equipment, lighting, air conditioning, and office infrastructure of the enterprise, which specializes in the treatment and disposal of non-hazardous waste. By implementing the project, EKOR Ltd. will significantly reduce its operational electricity costs and increase the predictability and sustainability of its production and logistics processes. The deployment of self-generated renewable energy will allow optimal energy balance management, reduce carbon emissions, and at the same time ease the load on the national energy grid. The project is fully aligned with the objectives of Priority 2 “Circular and Low-Carbon Economy” under the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Program 2021–2027, supporting the transition to a green economy through efficient resource use and the implementation of low-carbon technologies. The financial support will enable EKOR Ltd. to carry out the investment without burdening its ongoing operations, accelerating energy modernization and contributing to the sustainable development of both the company and the region.
