Programme: Programme "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" 2021-2027

Planning region: All

Description

This project proposal has been developed in response to the direct need of "TERA ECO BUILD" Ltd. to reduce its energy intensity and mitigate the negative impact of high and unpredictable electricity prices on its core business activity – the rental of construction equipment. As a micro, small, or medium-sized enterprise, the company faces the challenge of maintaining competitiveness amidst significant operational energy costs required for the maintenance, storage, and administrative servicing of its machinery fleet. The project's objectives are focused on achieving energy efficiency and independence through the implementation of renewable energy technology. The specific goals include reducing the carbon footprint, optimizing energy consumption, and increasing the share of renewable energy in the company's energy mix, which fully aligns with the procedure's objectives to promote the green and circular transition in the economy. The main project activity is the investment in the construction of a photovoltaic power plant with an energy storage system (batteries), intended entirely for self-consumption. The expected results from the project's implementation include a substantial reduction in electricity costs, achievement of energy savings, a decrease in CO₂ emissions, attraction of private investment to supplement public funding, and a sustainable improvement in the company's environmental and economic performance. Thus, the project directly contributes to achieving the goals of the "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" Programme 2021-2027.
