The project of WINERY KOPSA LTD foresees the implementation of measures to improve energy efficiency and to use renewable energy sources for the needs of the company’s facilities. The company operates in the hospitality and tourism sector through the management of Chateau Kopsa – a family winery and boutique hotel. The company combines the ancient wine-making traditions of the region with modern technologies, offering a unique experience through wine tastings and accommodation in a medieval castle and a modern hotel complex. The company’s activities are associated with significant electricity consumption, due to the continuous operation of refrigeration systems, kitchen equipment, lighting, heating and air conditioning installations, as well as maintaining a comfortable environment for guests throughout the year. This results in high ongoing energy costs and dependence on the electricity distribution network. Within the framework of the project, a photovoltaic installation with inverters will be constructed to produce electricity from renewable energy sources, in combination with local energy storage systems (batteries). This will ensure the coverage of a significant part of the company’s own electricity consumption and enable a more efficient use of the generated energy. Expected results from project implementation: -Reduction of energy costs and dependence on the electricity distribution network; -Increase in energy efficiency and resilience of business processes; -Reduction of carbon emissions and contribution to national and European green transition targets; -Enhancement of the competitiveness of WINERY KOPSA LTD through cost optimization and offering more environmentally friendly services in tourism and wine production. The project proposal is fully aligned with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources in enterprises” and complies with the Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) principle.
