The project proposal envisages activities for the construction of a photovoltaic system for self-consumption with an installed capacity of 30 kW and local facilities for electricity storage in the area “Mala Reka”, in the land of the village of Klokotnitsa, Haskovo Municipality. The installation will supply electricity to the site where the company carries out its main economic activity. The system is planned to be built on a stationary metal supporting structure on the roof of the building, which serves as a warehouse compressors, and other industrial machinery. The surplus energy produced that is not consumed will be stored in special battery modules with a total capacity of 30 kW, which will contribute to balancing the photovoltaic output and will help to overcome one of the disadvantages of renewable sources, namely intermittent production. The connection of the site will comply with Article 25a of the Renewable Energy Act, as the plant will generate electricity solely for self-consumption and will not feed energy into the grid. The use of energy from renewable sources will help the enterprise maintain its competitiveness, become more energy-efficient, and resource-independent. The project is aligned with the requirements of the “do no significant harm” principle to the environment and the achievement of climate resilience, thus contributing to the ecological transition in the company’s activities.
