The project is aims at increasing the energy efficiency of Zdravetz Pleven EOOD. The project proposal provides for purchase and commissioning of photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 30 kW, in combination with an inverter/s, as well as the installation of local energy storage facilities - batteries with a capacity of 100 kW, also equipped with an inverter/s. The system serves for production and storage of electricity for own consumption own, in order to reduce the energy dependence of the enterprise, limit its exposure to price fluctuations of electricity and improve the sustainability of its production activity. The project falls under and will be implemented in sector C11.07 "Production of soft drinks, mineral and other bottled waters", according to NACEA 2008. The investment will be implemented and will directly serve the energy needs of the production located in the town of Pleven. The most energy-intensive part of the company's activity is the production of PET bottles through a blast machine working with an industrial air compressor. This process requires high levels of electricity, especially during peak hours. By using solar energy combined with a battery for storage, a reduction in the load on the power grid will be achieved, as well as a stable supply for the compressor installation. The implementation of the project will contribute to reducing the carbon footprint and will support the efforts of Zdravets Pleven EOOD towards sustainable and energy-efficient development in the context of rising electricity and natural gas prices, which disrupt functioning of almost NY economic undertakings. The project is in line with the objectives of the procedure and meets the priorities of the European Union in direction of green transformation and climate neutrality.
