The project proposal of “M.M. GROUP 1” Ltd. is aimed at improving the energy efficiency and energy independence of the enterprise through the implementation of modern technologies for optimizing energy consumption in its warehouse and service facility located in the village of Ludogortsi. The company’s core activity is freight road transport and logistics. The facility is used for the maintenance, repair, and storage of vehicles and materials. The building stock, constructed more than a decade ago with a metal framework and sheet metal cladding with partial insulation, results in significant heat losses, inefficient heating, and high energy costs. The project envisages the implementation of a set of energy-saving measures, including: - installation of new energy-efficient sandwich panels to replace the deteriorated sheet metal elements and improve the thermal insulation of the building; - installation of a high-efficiency air-to-water heat pump system with a capacity of 20 kW, providing sustainable heating and cooling of the premises; - replacement of outdated windows and external doors with new energy-efficient constructions meeting modern standards for thermal and acoustic insulation; - installation of sectional industrial doors to reduce heat losses in the service and logistics areas; - construction of a rooftop photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 20 kW, designed entirely for self-consumption and covering the facility’s daytime load. The implementation of the project will lead to a significant reduction in energy losses and optimization of overall energy consumption. The measures will reduce the enterprise’s dependence on external energy sources, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance the company’s competitiveness. The project is fully aligned with the objectives of the procedure and with the principle of “Do No Significant Harm,” combining technological modernization, the use of renewable energy, and sustainable business development.
