"SUITS GROUP" Ltd. is a family-owned enterprise engaged in the confectionery business. The company has its own confectionery workshop and a chain of coffee shops in the cities of Sliven, Yambol and Stara Zagora. In the period after the COVID-19 crisis, the enterprise continues to experience serious difficulties caused by the contraction of the market and the significant increase in the prices of electricity and basic raw materials, which disrupts its functioning. The unpredictability of the growth of electricity prices is a prerequisite for taking measures to reduce the company's dependence on external energy sources. This project proposal aims to increase the energy efficiency of "SUITS GROUP" Ltd. and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by building a photovoltaic system (PVS) for its own needs and facilities for storing electricity (batteries), which will contribute to the balance in the produced power of photovoltaics and will help overcome one of the shortcomings of renewable sources, namely intermittent production. By using renewable energy, it is expected to reduce electricity bills by 30–80% in the production workshop, which will provide cost predictability, energy independence and protection from future spikes in electricity prices. The construction of a photovoltaic power plant for its own needs will accelerate the company's transition to climate neutrality by reducing its carbon footprint, optimizing energy consumption and increasing renewable sources in the company's energy mix, contributing to achieving the national goals for energy transformation and climate neutrality. The implementation of the investments will provide significant economic, energy and strategic benefits for "SUITS GROUP" Ltd. - improved energy efficiency, sustainable development and increased competitiveness, also supporting the implementation of the Energy Union goals for secure, sustainable, competitive and economically affordable energy.
