The implementation of the project proposal addresses ARKOMAT-BULGARIA's need for targeted investments in energy efficiency, which are essential for the sustainable development of the company. In this way, the project creates the conditions for long-term cost reduction, improvement of the working environment, and enhanced competitiveness. The main objective of the current project proposal is to enhance the competitiveness and improve the energy efficiency of ARKOMAT-BULGARIA, thereby ensuring the optimization of energy consumption and accelerating the transition to climate neutrality through reducing the carbon footprint. The proposal envisages the implementation of the following energy-efficient measures: • Execution of construction and installation works related to the introduction of energy-efficient insulation systems; The measures are implemented through investments in the replacement of enclosing structures – windows and doors, leading to a lasting reduction in the company’s energy intensity. ARKOMAT-BULGARIA is part of the eligible target group under the procedure. The company is a medium-sized enterprise, carrying out its main activity under NACE code 29.32. Manufacture of other parts and accessories for motor vehicles, which is characterized by high energy intensity and is among the nationally prioritized sectors according to the National Strategy for SMEs 2021–2027. The expected results from the implementation of the investment are related to improving energy efficiency, which will contribute to enhancing competitiveness and reducing the carbon footprint of ARKOMAT-BULGARIA’s production operations. The proposal is fully compliant with the “do no significant harm” principle, contributing to the green transition and supporting the achievement of national and European climate and energy goals.
