The project aims to reduce energy costs and increase the energy independence of the production workshop and warehouse in the city of Gabrovo. Two measures are envisaged: (1) replacement of transparent enclosing structures (windows and doors) with energy-efficient solutions for improved thermal insulation, air tightness and daylighting. The measure limits heat losses/gains, stabilizes the microclimate in the production and office areas and reduces the heating/cooling load, while improving the conditions for staff and the customer experience in the retail outlet; (2) construction of a 40 kW AC photovoltaic power plant for self-consumption, including photovoltaic modules, inverters, batteries and the necessary structural elements, configured without returning energy to the grid (anti-export). The FPP will mainly cover the daily loads of production and administration – lighting, office and IT equipment, cutting and processing machines, compressors, ventilation/air conditioning – and the batteries will shift part of the consumption outside peak hours and during cloudy weather, smoothing out short-term peaks and increasing self-consumption. The measures have been selected according to the load profile and operating mode of Pluton Invest OOD and meet the minimum technical requirements from the list of eligible assets. The activities include: technical survey and detailing, design, delivery and installation of joinery and FPP (panels, inverters, structure) and batteries, commissioning and training of personnel, setting up production/consumption monitoring and charge/discharge management with a view to maximum self-consumption. Expected results: significant reduction in grid electricity consumption and operating costs; more stable energy profile with lower peak loads; improved indoor comfort for personnel and customers; increased operational reliability of installations and limitation of CO₂ emissions.
