The project “Improving Energy Efficiency at AUTOKOM 2 Ltd.” aims to implement investments that reduce energy consumption and increase the use of renewable energy sources. AUTOKOM 2 Ltd. is a well-established company with over 20 years of experience in automotive servicing and sales, recognized as a regional leader thanks to its high-quality services and innovative approach. However, the building where the company operates has an outdated structure and lacks insulation, resulting in significant heat losses and high energy costs. The average monthly electricity bills amount to approximately BGN 1,000, which represents a considerable burden on the company’s budget. To achieve better energy efficiency, the company plans to implement two key investments: - Installation of energy-efficient insulation systems through the placement of wall sandwich panels covering an area of 1,300 sq.m. This measure will improve the thermal performance of the building and significantly reduce heat losses; - Construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PV system) with a capacity of 35 kW, including solar panels, inverters, batteries, and supporting infrastructure to generate electricity for self-consumption. The implementation of the project will lead to a reduction of electricity costs by over 50%, a decrease in carbon emissions, and an increase in the competitiveness of AUTOKOM 2 Ltd. The project is fully aligned with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy in Enterprises”, contributing to sustainable development, the energy transition, and the achievement of climate neutrality. Support under this procedure is essential for realizing an investment with a high economic and social impact that will reduce the company’s energy intensity, improve working conditions, and support the implementation of national and European goals for energy efficiency and environmental protection.
