The project of BULAVTO-TARGOVISHTE Ltd. foresees the implementation of measures for energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources in the company’s existing base in the town of Targovishte. The main activities of the enterprise include sales and service of agricultural machinery, as well as repair and maintenance services for passenger cars, light commercial and heavy-duty vehicles, serving a wide range of clients in the region. The company already operates a photovoltaic system for self-consumption. Through the current project, it is planned to upgrade the system by adding new panels to increase its capacity and by installing an energy storage system (battery). This will enable more efficient utilization of the produced electricity, increase the share of renewable energy in the company’s overall consumption, and reduce dependency on the electricity grid and fluctuations in market energy prices. In parallel, the project also includes the replacement of existing lighting fixtures with energy-efficient LED luminaires, which will lead to a significant reduction of electricity consumption for lighting in the service and storage facilities. The planned investments are fully aligned with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle and comply with modern European requirements for energy efficiency and sustainable development. The expected results include: • increased capacity of the photovoltaic system and a higher share of RES in the company’s energy mix; • reduction of overall electricity consumption through the introduction of LED lighting; • reduction of carbon emissions; • improved energy independence and resilience of the enterprise; • enhanced competitiveness and sustainability of the company in the context of the green transition.
