The project aims to reduce energy costs and increase energy independence at two sites: Site 1 – Gabrovo, 2 Ivaylo St. (medical center with 15 offices) and Site 2 – an outdoor base, Gabrovo, 12A Proynovo St. Photovoltaic power plants for self-consumption are planned – 40 kW (Site 1) and 15 kW (Site 2), including photovoltaic modules, inverters and structural elements configured without returning energy to the grid (anti-export). The systems will mainly cover daily loads: medical equipment, lighting, computer and IT systems, ventilation and air conditioning of areas with patients and staff, as well as auxiliary consumers. Integration with storage facilities (batteries) is planned to increase self-consumption and smooth out short-term peaks. Need: stable, predictable and clean energy for uninterrupted medical process, patient comfort, safe conditions for staff and control of operating costs in conditions of price/seasonal fluctuations. Main activities: technical survey and detailing; design; supply and installation of PV power plants (panels, inverters, structures, protections); commissioning; staff training; setting up a system for monitoring production/consumption and optimization of modes for maximum self-consumption and reduction of peak loads. Expected results: significant reduction in grid electricity consumption and costs; more stable energy profile with lower peaks; higher reliability of installations and better conditions for patients and staff (temperature, fresh air, lighting); limitation of CO₂ emissions and improved environmental profile. Reporting will be based on the unit cost regime after proven commissioning of the assets and available monitoring of the parameters. The project directly supports the quality and accessibility of specialized outpatient care through a sustainable energy base.
