The project proposal of the Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation “Sveta Elena I” Ltd. aims to improve the energy efficiency of the building and optimize energy costs through the implementation of a high-efficiency system for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water. The hospital, established in 2021, provides specialized services for the prevention and rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders, ensuring 24-hour medical supervision and modern rehabilitation equipment. The main objective of the project is to enhance the hospital’s energy performance by replacing the existing inefficient heating system with two high-efficiency heat pumps with a total capacity of 2 × 160 kW, which will provide sustainable and environmentally friendly heating and cooling for the building. As a result of the investment, a significant reduction in energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions is expected, alongside improved comfort for patients and medical staff. The project will contribute to the objectives of the Energy Efficiency Programme by: - reducing the hospital’s energy consumption and operational costs; - decreasing the use of fossil fuels and the negative impact on the environment; - introducing sustainable and innovative energy management technologies; - improving the overall conditions for patient treatment and accommodation. The implementation of the project will have a long-term economic and environmental impact, ensuring the stability of the healthcare facility and creating the foundation for the development of a modern, energy-efficient, and competitive hospital infrastructure.
