The project of AS PROFESSIONAL Ltd. foresees the implementation of measures to improve energy efficiency in an existing facility of the company in Ruse, where its main activity under NACE 96.01 – “Washing and dry-cleaning of textile and fur products” – is carried out. As a small enterprise with established positions in the service sector, the company aims to increase the sustainability and competitiveness of its operations by reducing energy dependency and introducing solutions based on renewable energy sources. Within the project, the following investment is planned, in line with the list of eligible activities under the procedure: Photovoltaic system for self-consumption combined with a battery storage unit. The investment is fully aligned with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle and will contribute to the climate resilience of the enterprise. The selected technology meets modern environmental standards and has a low carbon footprint. The expected results from the implementation of the project include a significant reduction in energy costs, optimization of the facility’s energy balance, reduction of carbon emissions, and improvement of the sustainability of operations. Furthermore, the project will contribute to achieving the national and European goals for decarbonization and green transition, as well as to reducing the energy intensity of the economy at enterprise level. The project proposal is in compliance with the horizontal principles under Article 9 of Regulation (EU) No. 2021/1060, as well as with the DNSH principle.
