Description

The project proposal of “Estrea” Ltd. is aimed at improving the energy efficiency of Hotel “Estrea Residence”, located in the resort complex Sts. Constantine and Helena, through the implementation of modern energy-efficient equipment. The activities are focused on replacing the existing outdated cooling unit with new high-efficiency systems that ensure optimal air conditioning and sustainable management of energy resources.
Within the scope of the project, the following measures are envisaged:
• Procurement and installation of two chillers with a capacity of 69 kW each, three-phase, inverter type, featuring remote control and low noise levels during operation;
• Ensuring the possibility for combined operating modes – cooling and heating – with a wide temperature range and high energy efficiency.
The inverter technology allows automatic power adjustment according to the actual needs of the building, resulting in a significant reduction in electricity consumption. The new systems will be integrated into the existing HVAC installation and will provide higher comfort for guests, lower operating costs, and optimized energy management, including synchronization with the hotel’s photovoltaic power plant.
The implementation of the project will lead to improved energy efficiency of the facility, reduced carbon emissions, and a transition toward a more sustainable operational model. The modernization of the air conditioning system will ensure year-round operation of the hotel, enhance the company’s competitiveness, and contribute to achieving the national targets for energy savings and decarbonization, in line with the European Green Deal. The project will be implemented in compliance with the principles of sustainable development and the EU horizontal principles – gender equality, non-discrimination, and accessibility for persons with disabilities.
