The project proposal of Consumer Cooperative "Napredak" aims to improve the energy efficiency of its retail outlets in Varna through the introduction of modern climate control systems that combine economical energy consumption with lower environmental impact. The investment includes the supply and installation of 2 VRF/VRV direct expansion systems with a thermal capacity of 24 kW for the retail outlet located in Vladislav Varnenchik district, near Apts. 302, as well as 3 air-to-air heat pumps with a thermal capacity of 16 kW for another store of the cooperative in Vladislav Varnenchik district, Apts.4. At present, the outlets operate with outdated and inefficient heating and cooling systems, which result in excessive electricity consumption and higher operating costs. This negatively affects the cooperative’s financial performance and the sustainability of its services. The implementation of the project will ensure: • significant reduction in energy costs, due to the high efficiency of the new systems; • reduction of carbon emissions, through the use of technologies with lower electricity consumption; • improved indoor climate in the retail outlets, enhancing working conditions for employees and comfort for customers; • sustainable development of the cooperative, by reducing its negative environmental impact and meeting modern energy efficiency standards. The planned investments are fully consistent with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 – promoting energy efficiency and moving towards a more environmentally friendly business model in Bulgarian enterprises.
