The project proposal is aimed at improving the energy efficiency of DITA-M BULGARIA through the purchase of energy-efficient equipment and technologies — heat pumps, a compressor, and heat recovery ventilation units for heating, ventilation, and cooling — all of which are necessary for and directly related to the company’s production activities, in the following areas: -for production processes related to the manufacturing of all items in the company’s portfolio, including printing, laminating, die-cutting, calendar gluing, and finishing operations; -to achieve optimal and relatively constant temperature and air cleanliness in the premises required for the proper and precise execution of production processes. As a result of the specific technical capabilities of the assets planned for acquisition, the company will be able to produce products of higher and more consistent quality, while significantly reducing production waste and resource consumption — particularly electricity usage. The need for the activities outlined in the project proposal has been identified based on the carefully selected equipment and, above all, the necessity to enhance the company’s sustainable competitiveness, as a result of: -Improved energy efficiency; -Accelerated transition to climate neutrality through reduction of the carbon footprint; -Optimised energy consumption – reduction of electricity usage. All the planned assets contribute to improving the energy efficiency of the company and their use is directly related to the development and production of all items in its portfolio. The investment under the project is considered crucial for DITA-M BULGARIA, and the planned activities will have a cumulative effect in enabling the company to manufacture and offer high-quality products at competitive prices, with reduced energy intensity and in full compliance with the horizontal principles under Art. 9 of Regulation (EU) No 2021/1060, including the Do No Significant Harm principle.
