The project proposal of BEHI ET aims to implement a photovoltaic system with a total installed capacity of 195 kWp for the generation of electricity for self-consumption. Through this investment, the company will ensure a sustainable and environmentally responsible alternative to conventional energy sources, reducing its dependence on external suppliers and increasing its overall energy efficiency. One of the enterprise activity involves the operation of restaurants located in the city of Kardzhali. Due to the nature of this activity, there is a constant demand for electricity for lighting, air conditioning, operation of kitchen and cooling equipment, IT systems, and other appliances, which represent a significant portion of the operational costs. In the context of high and fluctuating electricity prices, the project will contribute to greater predictability and stability in business operations. The construction of an in-house renewable energy (RES) infrastructure will enable the enterprise to cover part of its energy needs through self-produced electricity, thereby reducing its carbon footprint and supporting the sustainable development of its operations. The project is fully aligned with the objectives of Priority 2 “Circular and Low-Carbon Economy” under the Programme “Competitiveness and Innovations in Enterprises” 2021–2027, which promotes the transition towards a green economy and the efficient use of resources. The implementation of the investment will lead to a reduction in electricity costs, improvement of energy independence, and enhancement of the competitiveness of BEHI ET, while simultaneously contributing to the achievement of national and European goals for climate neutrality and environmental protection.
