The EU and Bulgaria are introducing increasingly strict energy standards, as well as carbon quotas and restrictions for businesses. The investment in the current project is a strategic step towards achieving compliance with energy efficiency and sustainable production requirements. The project envisions an investment in specific measures to improve the company's energy efficiency – an energy-efficient heat pump system and compressed air compressors with reservoirs. The investment is aimed at significantly reducing energy consumption in the enterprise through the use of energy from renewable sources. With the heat pumps, it will be possible to utilize renewable energy from the air for heating and cooling, with an expected efficiency coefficient SCOP ≥ 3.5. The minimum value of the seasonal performance factor (SPF) of heat pumps with electrically driven compressors in 'heating' mode will be no less than SPFmin = 3.5. This will lead to the introduction of an energy-efficient alternative to the existing electric heating system, which is of low efficiency, with one that has lower energy consumption. The compressors planned to be purchased through the project have lower specific energy consumption and higher efficiency. The project is fully in line with the priorities and objectives of the procedure, as well as with the goals of the EU Green Deal. The investment under this procedure is entirely in compliance with the requirements of the 'do no significant harm' principle to the environment and the achievement of climate resilience, contributing to the ecological transition in the company's operations.
