The project proposal of REMONENGINEERING Ltd. aims to enhance the company’s energy efficiency and sustainability through modernization of equipment and the use of renewable energy sources. The main objective is to reduce electricity consumption from the grid, improve the power factor, and decrease carbon dioxide emissions. The investment includes the installation of a 30 kWp photovoltaic system combined with a 60 kWh battery energy storage unit, mounted on a metal carport structure located within the company’s service base. This system will enable on-site generation and use of clean renewable electricity, ensuring optimal self-consumption and reduction of peak loads. In parallel, the project foresees the replacement of an obsolete conventional air compressor, operating in an inefficient start-stop mode and used for more than ten years, with a new inverter-driven screw compressor (15 kW, 10 bar). The new equipment automatically adjusts the motor speed according to actual air consumption, maintains stable pressure and flow, reduces electricity use, and allows heat recovery (Heat Recovery System - HRS) for domestic hot water and space heating. As a result of the project implementation, the company will achieve a reduction of total electricity consumption by more than 25%, elimination of reactive energy penalties, reduction of CO₂ emissions by approximately 33 tons per year, and improved competitiveness through optimized energy management. The project fully complies with the requirements of Procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Enterprises” under the Programme “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises” 2021–2027, and adheres to the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle.
